Long story short: History of music

Music was with people since the first day of their existence. It came faster than first imitations of literature or first paintings in caves. It happened because every single sound can be some kind of music and that's definitely her biggest advantage. Still, she needed very much time to be shaped to nowadays music. So here we go, I'm going to present a simple history of music on earth (sadly i don't know anything about space music). Let's begin our long story short about history of music.

The oldest known melody is dated back to 1400 B.C and was discovered in 1950's in Syria. Believe me or not but it's kinda impresive. Slow and peacefull melody. Very beautiful and cheering in my opinion to be honest. Below recreated version performed by Michael Levy on the lyre.

As it is long story short now we're gonna jump a bit further. Back to ancient Greece times where music was actually very important for people. They used it usually during religious festivals, marriages, funeral rites or banquet gatherings.
Below we can listen to "Akousate Argos". I think it's really interesting. Sounds mysteriously, I bet it was dedicated to the Olimpic Gods.

Next step are medieval ages. I won't write too much here. Medieval music was dedicated always to God. Only monks used to write and sing songs for God. This kind of music had to be very supercilious. As every other work, songs were also written and sung in latin. But below i decided to link song called "Bogurodzica" which is in polish. It is believed that "Bogurodzica" was the first anthem of Poland. First transcriptions of it are from 1407. It is commonly associated with Battle of Grunwald.

Last music era before something modern that I would like to mention is renaissance. As we know people ofrenaissance were extremly fascinated with ancient times. Ancient Greece and Rome. God was also important but he wasn't the human life center anymore, and we can notice it easily. Music of "revival" is happy, with many intruments. It's full of joy.

Ohh, I said it will be long story short, but it's already kinda long, so here we will make a really huge jump into future. Music of next eras is kinda similar in my opinion. Even tho it's full of geniuses like Mozart, Beethoven and many more but in my opinion it's kinda similar.

Now I want to tell you about my favourite band of all times. Yes we're in modern era! The only one Queen. Band with the special Freddie Mercury. Ohh dear God if u exist, what a band Queen was. Actually writing this is so hard, because im speachless when i'm thinking about them. They are just iconic and noone can deny it. Bringing opera in "Bohemian Rhapsody" into "big screen" music. MASTERPIECE! There's so many iconic songs in their repertoire like "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Don't stop me now", "We are the champions" or "Another one bites the dust" but i decided to link below my favourite song. "Crazy little thing called love" which was the only one song where Freddie was playing on guitar.

And here's end of this post. I hope you enjoyed it :)
See ya in the next one!
PS. Sorry for all linguistic and grammatical mistakes :(
